So far MJ's memorial has been really beautiful and tasteful.
It started with Smokey Robinson reading a letter on behalf of Diana Ross and Nelson Mandela.
Mariah Carey's rendition of "I'll be there" was very touching. (I couldn't help but feel a knot in my throat...especially when she was singing to the casket.)
Queen Latifah read a poem that Maya Angelou wrote for him. Need I say more?
Lionel Richie's sang "Jesus is Love". I loved the choir as well.
Motown founder says 'he's the best entertainer that ever lived". (I've never seen this type of outpouring for anyone. It's totally on a scale of its own.)
"We can't help but love you forever Michael", says Stevie Wonder.
Wonder is now performing "Never dreamed you'd leave in summer". He's visibly touched and singing with a lot of emotion.
Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson at the podium. Bryant talked about MJ's humanitarian side. Johnson talked about their friendship. He just shared a funny story about MJ...when he went over to MJ's home to talk to him about being in his "Remember the time" video. The chef approached Johnson and asked what he wanted to eat. When the food came out, the chef brought Johnson the grilled chicken he had ordered and MJ a bucket of KFC. "You eat KFC", asked a shocked Johnson.
"This is a celebration of his life, of his legacy", Johnson said.
Jennifer Hudson is singing. That girl has the pipes. What a gift!
