Unfortunately, Anoop Desai has to dim all the lights tonight. This is his last song on American Idol.
Hasta la vista chicos. Tonight we say goodbye to Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai. I'm shocked we're saying goodbye to Anoop Desai instead of Matt Giraud...I guess I was wrong. All of the contestants have skills at this point which makes it a tight competition for the #2 spot. I was really surprised to see Allison Iraheta at the bottom 3. I think she's up there with Adam Lambert. All along I thought she was a strong contestant for the #2 slot. I guess that spot is up for grabs now. I know Adam Lambert will take the big prize, you can see he's hungry for the title and he's certainly ready for the big stage. Do you agree with tonight's results?
I believe that if someone is dedicated to watch American Idol they should be dedicated to vote for their fave. You can't wait for other's to vote and then be shocked at the results. Just like in an election you can't complain about who the President is if you didn't vote at all. I was shocked that Anoop was eliminated (I voted for him), and shocked that Allison was in the bottom (I voted for her too). All I kept hearing at work was how upset ppl were at the results...but it's YOU America that has the power to make them stay! Obviously Matt's fans knew that from the results of last week. Wake-up ppl and VOTE!!!!

I can't get myself to pick up the phone. It's bad enough I'm a thirtysomething watching the show...lol.

What wrong with watching American Idol? I'm 35yrs. old and I'm not ashamed. My mother watches it too and she is in her 50's. And my co-workers watch it and they range from 20's to 50's.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I think that's the beauty of the show...that American Idol can appeal to people of all ages.
